It's not all spicy, but it can definitely get spicy if you want.

Delhi Belly: Good food, weird service! The coconut pumpkin curry is fantastic and extremely spicy, the amritsari fish fry is a treat (you'll think you won't finish the plate, but then you will), and the tandoori Cornish game hen is one of the best in town. Rice is extra, which is definitely unexpected. Thanks to Redditor trias10 for the recommendation. (Alhambra)

Heng Heng Chicken Rice: Wow wow wow, this place is good. I recommend everything but especially the "zaab crispy chicken" with green and red onions, cilantro, and lime. If you don't specify otherwise it will arrive to you very spicy. It's deeply delicious either way. (East Hollywood)

A Family Affair: The greens here a really spicy, which was a surprise! Also a surprise: if you order for pick-up you'll discover that while A Family Affair was once a brick-and-mortar, it's now in a ghost kitchen space. But to be honest I appreciated the experience of going into the storefront on Western that's usually hidden behind a grip of double-parked cars. I know what goes on there now! The friend chicken is good, as are the mashed potatoes (restaurant mashed potatoes are rarely good, so it's an accomplishment), and the perfect cornbread. Plus you can get gumbo here, which is not super easy to find in L.A. And they don't skimp on the seafood. Thanks to Redditor richardspictures for the recommendation. (East Hollywood)
