Eat Here This Weekend: November 11, 2022
It's the first full weekend of standard time, it's dark, it's L.A. cold, it's a mix of cozy and sexy.

Meet Qin Noodle: Delicious northern Chinese soups, noodles, and skewers. And rou jia mo, the "Chinese hamburgers" that are not at all hamburgers and don't deserve to be reduced to such a comparison. (And I love burgers.)
Bottega Louie DTLA: I went here last night and it was way better than I remembered. The bread is warm, the drinks are excellent, the food is good. The vast, shiny, white interior is not at all standard Los Angeles design but, being in an old downtown building, it feels classic. Go there and impersonate a Golden Age star.
Oriel: Absolutely mysterious that this place isn't more well-known. It's under elevated train tracks, it's bathed in pink neon, it serves wine and French food. It's so sexy. Take yourself out and feel like the hot b that you are.
Angelini Osteria: Years ago I wrote a "best carbonara in Los Angeles" listicle (for AOL, can you imagine?) and Angelini's was number one or two. I ate it again this week, and I think that placement is still correct.
Otafuku: Noodles, tempura, a nice time.
